As I See It - A Simple Reply But Meant So Much

This is the sequel of the sms I received from YB. Dr. Maximus recently – it was a coincident meeting again with him face-to-face during the state level Kaamatan recently concluded at Hongkod. It was such a nice engagement as he uttered a warm word, “Hai, kau pula ni, dari Tambunan ka tadi?” And he shacked my hand in a friendly manner out of the confinement of protocol atmosphere – I was so “teruja”, or “excited” I guess … – should it be in English … Prior meeting him I was wandering around the nicely spots whichever I could witness the diverse ethnicity of our Sabahan tribes exhibits– of course the rounds would be from the “sulap” to “sulap” – as the Valai Rungus was just within the distance – adjacent to Tambunan Sulap – It wouldn’t be that pretty difficult for me to switch places to and fro.At the other side of the Tambunan Sulap – the “spectacular “ scene of people getting drunk monopolizing the surrounding (almost tempted…luckily I’ve already quitted)– the opposite to that of the neighbor, Valai Rungus (I wonder where our “Kimaragang” reps were at that time???) people were much more serious handling things at hand expecting the VIPs to visit at any time. Okay…I’m a little bit being carried away…he..he..janji minggu dapan baru tulis entry…tapi tiba2 datang pla nie mood…okay , where were we just now?Ohh pasal YB. Datuk Max… Minutes before I met him I was standing on the front yard of the Bisaya’s sulap enjoying their traditional performances – and guess what I saw…Datuk Lajim was among the Gong beaters … amazingly, the first beater…ketua band la beitu… Again, as what I’ve written in my previous entry (just few minutes ago..he..he..); that simple phrases though sound not really intense could mean so much to the “rakyat biasa” like me – not to over glorifying him; but, I could see that there is a tremendous improvement taking place the way he addressed the “rakyat biasa” – especially his former critics

(Teruskan mr. Carl...cerita sikit hal-hal di Tambunan sana. SAM mulai mengorak langkah 1Sabah suda ni...)
